Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute Biostatistician II in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Title: Biostatistician II Position Description: Position located in Minneapolis, MN. Hybrid employment in area of intended employment pursuant to employer's discretion Job duties are as follows: Participate in the design, analysis, and interpretation of results from medical administrative claims datasets. Write methods and results sections of manuscripts and reports. Conduct statistical analyses using SAS and/or R (Pearson's R). Present statistical and research findings to medical transplant community in a cross-functional and culturally diverse environment, including researchers, doctors, transplant coordinators, pharmaceutical companies, and government officials. Lead in writing statistical analysis plans for projects. Interpret results of analysis for cross-functional collaborators such as physicians. Calculate/conduct descriptive statistics. Generate descriptive tabular information and graphical displays. Search and review articles associated with clinical statistical analysis. Compare, evaluate, and report statistical techniques. Review literature related to specific diseases. Apply simulation results to recommend and support new research projects and policies. Provide statistical guidance/oversight to statisticians (especially Biostatistician I positions). Represent CDRG on multiple and complex projects and communicate with the transplant community. Apply/develop model-building techniques to improve statistical analyses. Monitor clinical trials or experiments to ensure adherence to established procedures or to verify the quality of data collected. Prepare statistical information in support of research/study publications. Document methods and procedures of statistical analysis and techniques. Work on Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, a program of the HRSA. Basic Qualifications: Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related statistical field, and 4 years of experience as a biostatistician or in any occupation in biostatistical analysis. Must possess four years of experience in the following: Using epidemiologic methods and methods for dealing with confounding variables; Applying knowledge of statistics to perform Multivariable regression, ANOVA, Logistic regression, Survival analysis, and related statistical techniques; Demonstrated SAS and R programming; Working a cross-functional or culturally diverse environment; Presenting statistical findings to medical transplant community including researchers for organ transplant and health disparities, doctors, and transplant coordinators, pharmaceutical companies, and government officials including policy makers. *Must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Investigation pursuant to HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration). *Must have resided in the US for three of the last five years if not a U.S. citizen.
