Exceptional applicants with strong records of research, teaching, scientific leadership, and creativity may be considered for higher rank and tenure. We seek candidates whose research is application-driven and grounded in a broad set of methodological foundations. Individuals whose interests and backgrounds are at the intersection of Operations Research, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Data Analytics with other fields in Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in applications including, but not limited to, healthcare delivery and medical decision making, security and defense, transportation and mobility, supply chains and service operations, or energy systems and the environment. We particularly welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and communities. The candidate's expertise and documented research activities must demonstrate a strong potential to enhance both the department's research and teaching missions. The successful candidate is expected to build a vibrant, externally funded, highly visible research program and to become a recognized leader in their field. The ability to effectively teach a wide variety of classes related to Industrial and Systems Engineering at both the graduate and undergraduate levels to a diverse group of students is required.
