Job Description

Are you interested in driving outstanding brand training to the LEGO Certified Stores (LCS) to ensure that we bring out the brand values into the training programs and retail operations?

Play this critical role in localizing the global program to suit the local market and be an effective collaborator with our Partners!

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for building and maintaining partnerships and crafting joint value to drive business growth, including:

  • Understand LEGO Brand Value, importance and roll of Branded Channel in The LEGO Group

  • Understand the direction of Global LEGO Brand Training and align between Global/APAC and Japan

  • Establish LEGO brand training programs and retail operation model in efficient way with consistency and course correction plans

  • Run and lead brand training applying global training tools and localize the programs in order to build LEGO Brand value amongst LCS staffs for their proactive outcome

  • Partner closely and communicate effectively with LCS partners, internal collaborators to identify/assess local training priorities while driving Global agenda on an ongoing basis and proactively develop solution to specific service and selling opportunities

  • Plan and deliver training program in both field and virtual environment, including new staff onboarding, selling-in and service skills, train and trainer, and adhoc base training

  • Track and analyze business performance, staff resourcing and retail critical metric by store based on business target and P&L

  • Lead/Support in new store and POP-UP store launch

The LCS team is consist of 4 members, reporting to 1 Senior Manager.

The aim of the LCS strategy is to build the LEGO Brand experience, increase brand awareness, improve partner performance, deliver exceptional customer service, expand the LEGO business quickly and efficiently while establishing consistency.

LCS is one of the main drivers of growth in JAPAN and will be a high focus area for JAPAN. A dedicated Store Operation & Training manager is needed to support further business growth, lead partnerships, and ensure a premium LEGO retail experience across the high-quality branded store.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a business-related field with working experience

  • Has 4-5 years of validated experience in hands-on service, training planning and execution on floor within global brand business

  • Has 2+years working experience with APAC or GLOBAL collaboration

  • Experience in running and leading retail brick and mortar stores, either directly operated or through franchise partners

  • Passion for people development and excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Retail critical metrics and how can be used to drive store performance

  • Ownership, adaptable, can-do attitude

  • Excellent collaboration and social skills

  • Excellent analytical skills, a passion for data metrics to turn plans into execution/achievements

  • Strong negotiation and collaborator management skills, including responsiveness and attention to detail and the ability to influence senior partners

  • Ability to think strategically while still focusing on immediate short-term tasks with critical metric management and joint business planning experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of overall retail brand store concept, management, and structure

  • Adaptable to changes and be at the forefront to lead change in both actions and behavior

  • A learning attitude, embracing and growing with change

  • Future ranging and planning for accounts, handling of confidential launch information, monetary impact to business

  • Awareness and compliance with competition law and COPPA (monetary fines and reputational impacts)
