We are looking for a talented Logistics Operations Planner to join our team specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain Management for our Corporate Logistics division in Japan, Minato-ku, CJL Office / your remote home office.

Job Summary: To plan and maintain daily operations in one or more logistics functions (such as transportation and warehousing). Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain.

  • Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system.

  • Use common process tools and information systems to manage logistics operations.

  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and create action plans.

  • Execute daily operational logistics processes and identify potential supply chain failures, implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Work closely with stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop and implement short-term tactical improvements.

  • Utilize the logistics system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.

  • Participate in functional process improvement teams to enhance overall logistics efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Demonstrated role competence is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience:

At least one internship or equivalent work experience in logistics or a related supply chain role.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates:

Dot Line Reporting to Korean Logistics Manager: Support import operations for the Korean office, including delivery management (Teams/Excel) and coordination with forwarders and overseas factories.

Back-Up Support: Provide support to other team members as needed.

Purchasing Activities: Engage in purchasing activities and process payments to suppliers.

Kaizen & Project Activities: Attend and contribute to Kaizen and other project activities.

Coordination: Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (Sales, AE, Service, Quality Control, Finance, AS, SCM).

Transportation & Storage: Manage quotations and arrangements for domestic transportation and storage, and develop new storage warehouses and contracts.
