Jacobs Water/Wastewater Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers with the growth and delivery of our industrial and municipal projects. You will be responsible for conducting evaluations, designs, and provide services during construction at industrial and municipal water and wastewater facilities. The applicant should be self-motivated with a long-term desire to grow personally as well as professionally. Each project will provide career opportunities while delivering transformative projects for our clients.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering. 

  • Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain reciprocity, in Wisconsin

  • At least 5 years of consulting experience for water and wastewater clients

  • Experience delivering industrial and municipal design projects

  • Demonstrated understanding of process mechanical designs, water and wastewater unit processes and technologies, master planning and condition assessments

  • Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools  

  • Experience with hydraulic analyses 

  • Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers

     Ideally, You’ll Also Have:  

  • Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain

  • Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent. 

  • Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule and budget

  • Experience providing services during construction

  • Willingness to mentor junior engineers

  • Involvement in professional society organizations, community organization or other leadership roles with volunteer organizations 

  • Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities 

  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams preferred
