How you will contribute: As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, you will prepare detailed layouts for various HVAC, steam, and industrial process piping type projects. You will provide engineering over site of the layout of these HVAC and piping systems, equipment selections and layouts, provide information to our estimating team relative to the bid packages, lead review process for HVAC & piping specification development, layout control strategies, and provide piping engineering input into the operations plans for system commissioning and start-up. You will play a lead role in customer interactions to understand their building usage and internal processes in order to build a system that meets the needs of the facility. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be exposed to chilled water cooling systems, dx cooling systems, hot water heating systems, low and high steam systems, controls and industrial ventilation systems. Exercise your ability to multi-task as you manage a workload of typically 3 projects and various other smaller requests from Ahern\'s regional offices. What you need to qualify: Candidates must have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, combined with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a fast paced work environment. Proficiency in a recent version of AutoCAD with experience in a 3D environment is a must. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of the commercial or industrial building construction industry, strong math skills and the ability to read blueprints. What\'s in it for you?
