Qualifications What you\'ll be doing: Leading the design of automatic fire alarm, detection, and suppression systems Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction Executing performance calculations, code review and analysis Mentoring less experienced staff in the execution of designs Conducting periodic construction site inspections Future responsibilities of this position could include leadership What you\'ll need to succeed: Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in fire protection, or mechanical, chemical, or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university 8+ years of relevant experience in fire suppression design experience Qualified FPE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states Strong organizational and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently Ideal Candidate Qualifications Experience with military projects Experience with aviation facilities Experience with food & beverage storage/cold storage/freezers/coolers Experience interacting with clients What we offer: \$120k and above, depending on experience plus bonus opportunities 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing opportunities Flexible, hybrid schedule with PTO, sick-time, and paid holidays Benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance plans Mead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.
