In the role of a Research Operations Manager you will beworking in the Pediatrics Department. Purpose Responsible for the effective management of research and grant operations of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, including a broad spectrum of special projects, administrative procedures, reporting, and analysis. Primary Functions Interface between functional units to provide research and grant operations expertise and advice relative to budgeting, operations, resourcing, compliance, workforce planning, clinical trials portfolio, and staff development. Lead the division quarterly and annual research budgeting process and, in cooperation with the Grant Operations Coordinator, report on research project performance to PIs and Division Administrator. Coordinate operational improvement ideas and programs throughout research and grant operations and lead the Grant Operations, Clinical Trials, Research Operations and Basic Science research teams to ensure optimal resourcing and productivity. Represent the division\'s research infrastructure in work with the Cancer Center. Lead the development of new process and manage operations on cross-functional teams and task forces where appropriate. Serve as the lead administrator in the specialty for research data, including overseeing dashboard development and maintenance to drive change. Coordinate and lead special projects as directed by the Division Administrator. Respond to strategic needs and develop solutions to identified operational barriers. Apply working knowledge of operations and problem-solving techniques, team concepts, financial analysis, technical expertise, and personnel management to act as a change agent. Maintains current knowledge of innovative operations techniques and evaluation techniques to identify improvement opportunities. Assist in shaping policies and procedures to communicate operations standards focusing on strategic development. Coordinate recruitment efforts for all positions. Oversee the development, management, and monitoring of project budgets to ensure resources meet grant and contract objectives, including revenue and expense projections.
