*The Headlines:  *

In the role of R&D Beverage Developer working in Milwaukee, WI , you will be part of the Research & Development and Innovation team. You will provide technical expertise in the facilitation and coordination of plant problem resolution and project activities in beverage production and lead and serve on ad hoc task forces working on production issues or problems throughout producing facilities.

In addition, you will consult with production staff and brewery management, evaluate engineering recommendations, implement trials, recommend system improvements, participate in start-ups of new/modified brewing equipment and products.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Beverage Innovation, and works closely with the production staff and brewery management.

The Responsibilities: _ _

  • Facilitate and coordinate plant problem resolution or project activities of varying levels of complexity within the Brewing, Research, Innovation and Quality Division and the Manufacturing Operations Division and Technical and Packaging Services Divisions regarding / impacting the production process

  • Provide input and evaluation of plant operational procedures and audit systems.

  • Lead and serve as a key participator in ad hoc task forces working on production issues or problems.

  • Consult with production staff and management at the plants on a regular basis on various problems/issues

  • Evaluate Corporate Engineering recommendations to assure compatibility with current and future production requirements.

  • Lead and serve as an important participant in start-up of new/modified equipment at the breweries.

  • Build standards and drive excellence in new product development process.

  • Investigate new products, processes, and technologies to build future capabilities and innovations.

*The Other Qualifications: *

  • You have a Bachelors Degree in Brewing, Science, Engineering or related field, and have practical experience in a Brewing Production or Quality position with modern brewing technology

  • You have a minimum of 10 years’ of high-volume beverage experience.

  • You have specialized skills in Kosher or Organic certification, process control and automation, instrumentation, process engineering, brewery equipment design, quality control, international operations and hops processing

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy

  • You have a thorough understanding of the technical interrelationships of product, process and raw materials to effectively make product quality, specification and compliance decisions

  • You exhibit knowledge of brewing science technology and commercial processes
