Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Description We are in search of a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role primarily involves managing employee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments. The workplace is a fast-paced setting in the industry where you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to payroll and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input employee information, hours worked, deductions, and benefits into payroll systems.

• Manage and run payroll, calculate taxes, and issue checks or direct deposits.

• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements.

• Process enrollments, changes, and terminations for employee benefits.

• Troubleshoot payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and submit various payroll reports as required.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Crystal Reports for efficient payroll management.

• Administer 401k - RRSP Administration, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Benefit Functions accordingly.

• Leverage skills in About Time software for efficient time tracking and project management.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Crystal Reports

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Ability to utilize About Time software effectively

• Knowledge of general Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills with a keen eye for detail

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Certification in Payroll Management or relevant field is a plus.
