Ascension Health Patient Care Technician-PCT ED St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We Are Hiring

A Part Time Day Emergency Department PCT (CNA). 24 hours/week.

Ability to work in high stress, fast paced environment. Must have CNA license and BLS certification. Three 8 hour shifts per week and every other weekend 6:45 am - 3:15 pm. Must work one half of holidays.

What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.

  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

  • Document necessary records.

  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

  • Perform emergency department specific care/duties as assigned within scope of job.

What You Will Need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Required Credentials:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • CNA certification on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
