As a Sever at Mason Street you will be responsible for tailoring each experience to the guests, providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, hand-crafted cocktails, and jazz music. Whether it\'s the upbeat aromas, the background sounds of live music, or the taste of a refreshing cocktail after a long day at work, we want to make sure that our guests\' time spent with us will bring them back again and again. What you will be doing: Greet guests and explain specials & promotions. Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system, upselling with each opportunity. Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations. Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction. Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return. Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments. Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager. What we are looking for: Prior serving, food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality experience is required. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure. Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards. Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, table settings, guest relations, and etiquette. Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication. Ability to recall and promote menu items. Transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces. Ability to maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform. What\'s in it for you?
