Job Overview

We have a great opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our corporate IT team in Milwaukee, WI. The IT Project Manager is responsible for organizing, reporting, and managing the outcomes of IT projects. Management of internal teams, vendors and partners we use to modernize, upgrade, and deploy new technologies.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.

  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.

  • Sets and communicates project deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.

  • Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.

  • Prepares reports for the leadership team regarding status of project

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to allocate resources effectively and ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues that arise.

  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and delivering projects within budget.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, Voice/Data Communications, Public/Business Administration or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably agile.

  • PMP or equivalent certification is required.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience required

  • Travel requirements (include details such of number of nights per month, regional travel by car, domestic/international travel by airplane, etc)

  • Demonstrated organization and decision-making capabilities, in a large enterprise environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and re-articulate technical concepts

  • Basic understanding a technical terminology with a proven track record of running successful IT projects

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies

  • Ability to participate and have a consumer level skill set with enterprise IT Service Management change control environment(s)
