JOB REQUIREMENTS: Genesis10 is seeking an Investment Accountant for a 4+ month contract position, working with an insurance provider in the Milwaukee, WI area. Compensation: \$30.00 - 34.00 per hour, W2, depending upon experience and skill level. Responsibilities: Perform financial accounting functions for assigned accounts and processes to ensure conformance with GAAP accounting standards Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and/or review of journal entries, accounting reconciliations, and the trial balances Work with Accounting transactions and balance related to revenue, fees, expenses, compensation, and associated suspense accounts Ensure the accuracy of the accounting generated by numerous contract administration systems as well as any manual accounting Research and resolve reconciliation issues, imbalances, and open suspense items Provide guidance to staff performing accounting and control activities Maintain an effective internal control environment Perform accurate and timely financial statements and analytical reporting Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure the accuracy of accounting Analyze financial activity for alignment with expectations and the identification of trends or unusual items Assist in efforts to implement system or process improvements, including those involving change in the operating departments Represent the Department in enterprise-wide system and/or process development activities related to assigned accounts or processes Collaborate with project teams to acquire a thorough understanding of changes Requirements: Accounting Degree Experience in accounting, reconciliation, month-end, and journal entries Excel Skills Data Analytical Skills Experience in wealth reporting Preferred Requirements: Investment Experience Experience with Broker Dealer or Wealth Advisory company Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
