The Madisonoffice of SmithGroupis looking for aGrant Development Specialistto join our team. The Grant Development Specialist will play a key role in helping advance projects and positioning the firm to secure new business opportunities. This role will be responsible for the research and development of grant and philanthropic funding opportunities across private and public sectors. Working with leadership from multiple SmithGroup offices and markets, the Grant Development Specialist will support firm growth and client funding needs. The position may be located in any of the following SmithGroup offices: Ann Arbor, Michigan; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Madison, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Grant Development Specialist will report to the Director of Operations in an affiliated office. Working with us, you will: Focus on the research and development of public and private grant and philanthropic funding opportunities and the coordination and development of grant submissions. Research grant-awarding organizations and prioritize opportunities for SmithGroup and clients. Draft, review, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of projects on behalf of clients and firm. Create and maintain relationships with funding agencies. Serve as a funding expert related to funding sources available for certain markets and geographies and advise the team on potential opportunities related to projects/clients. Assists in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to educate clients on potential project funding. Drafts grant and funding-related content related to marketing collateral, proposals and presentations. Develop methodology to measure the success of grants awarded and funding obtained.
