Job Summary
The Graduate Advisor coordinates and executes the development and implementation of the administrative and student service activities of graduate degree programs and certificates for the Lubar College of Business. Performs activities which may include: academic advising, monitoring of progress towards the degree, course and/or enrollment management, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, course and/or program assessment, and academic program review. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
At least one year of experience in academic advising, or professional coaching/mentoring
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Business or related field
Evidence of experience working with diverse populations
Demonstrated experience working in higher education in the area of career and academic advising
Evidence of success working in a high volume and fast paced environment
Strong time management skills with a focus on continuous professional improvement
Evidence of strong customer service orientation
Demonstrated excellence contributing to a strong team culture
Evidence of experience working collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment
Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Target Salary Range Salary will be commensurate with knowledge and experience
