MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING Fluid Power Adjunct Trainer in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a part-time Fluid Power Adjunct Trainer to join our Professional Education and Research Development team. Under the direction of the Director of Professional Education and Research Development, the Fluid Power Adjunct Trainer prepares and delivers non-credit, professional education and training in the field of fluid power. Essential Job Functions Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating industrial training programs nationwide in the USA and possibly overseas. Teach basic to advanced levels of classes such as: Vol 1: Introduction to Hydraulics for Industry Professionals Vol 2: Electrohydraulic Components and Systems Vol 3: Hydraulic Fluids and Contamination Control Vol 4: Hydraulic Fluids Conditioning Vol 5: Safety and Maintenance Vol 6: Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis Vol 7: Modeling and Simulation for Application engineers Vol 8: Design Strategies for Hydraulic Systems Teach premade material or to customize material upon request. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering is required. Post graduate studies preferred. 5+ years of technical training experience in one of the above-mentioned topics. Industrial experience as well as teaching experience in the subject matter. Solid understanding of the basic theory and teaching in a practical-oriented way. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead groups and analyze materials for the purpose of training documentation and training class development. Ability to travel upon request. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before others. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral form. Mathematical Skills Ability to use numbers to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is largely sedentary, the ability to move is required. The employee is occasionally required to traverse within their work area as well as other areas on campus. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and/or classroom environment. This role uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
