To excel in this role, you should hold a bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, and possess at least 3+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction sector, with a preference for backgrounds in industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, and multi-family projects. Your primary responsibilities will include independently or collaboratively creating precise project estimates, managing scopes to adhere to budget goals, capturing cost history, and providing value analysis and preconstruction expertise. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in estimating and preconstruction support for projects ranging from \$5M to over \$100M. This involves developing and reviewing cost models, conducting training, performing value analysis, and executing quantity take-offs, all while focusing on detailed cost information. You will report to the VP of Preconstruction or Estimating Executive and work closely with project managers. Your role will also involve direct engagement with owners, designers, subcontractors, developers, marketing teams, and the construction management team. Some things you can expect to do: Efficiently and self-sufficiently: Work with project managers to develop conceptual and detailed estimates. Perform quantity take-offs of all construction systems. Create project estimates individually and with a team. Solicit subcontractor pricing for budgeting and bid proposals. Scope and select subcontractors based on best value and project requirements. Record final estimates and maintain cost history. Create, track, and manage project scope. Participate and review buyout and GMP estimates. Assist in creating preconstruction schedules with project management and field personal.
