We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Engineering Specialist in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position has the possibility of a hybrid work option. Job Summary This position is part of the a job family (Associate Engineering Specialist, Engineering Specialist, Senior Engineering Specialist) where experience will be the determining factor. The Engineering Specialist position functions as a Gas Operations Engineering team member with principal duties in the administration of the GPS as-built program that support mapping and facility documentation. Supports installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and project activities with general instructions and often independent of direct oversight. Creative and cost effective solutions are developed for a wide range of medium to moderately complex projects. Supports operational and code compliance activities of the assigned team while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction and financial responsibility. Uses prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer; performs routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Job Responsibilities Provides technical support on a variety of tasks within the GPS as-built program and manages the program hardware. Assist with training of field employees on GPS as-built equipment and programs. Ensures required as-built documentation and records are submitted and maintained. Ensures that actions follow Company standards and procedures and comply with appropriate regulations. Identifies problems and relevant issues in straight forward situations, assessing using standard procedures and sound judgement. Manages small to moderately complex projects. Functions as lead for individual or small group tasks. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering preferred. In lieu of Bachelor\'s degree, an Associate\'s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline with three years of engineering/project management experience will be accepted. Must meet company standards for driving and main a valid driver\'s license. Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction and field practices as well as design, operation, maintenance and repair of natural gas distribution facilities.
