HILTON MILWAUKEE CITY CENTER Director of Outlets in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description As the Director of Outlets, you will oversee all aspects of our diverse Food & Beverage outlets, including Miller Time Pub & Grill, The Cafe, Chophouse, Monarch Lounge, Starbucks, and In-Room Dining. Your goal will be to consistently meet or exceed guest expectations and drive high satisfaction ratings. You will manage budgets, improve sales, up-sell services, maintain accurate records, manage inventories, and implement cash handling techniques to minimize losses, reduce costs, and increase profitability. Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee City Center is Milwaukee\'s largest hotel. Built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, the Hilton Milwaukee offers 729 well-appointed guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space. What will you be doing? * Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline staff to ensure efficient operation of the outlets. * Organize and conduct pre-shift and monthly departmental meetings to communicate key information. * Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments. * Promote hotel facilities and services, resolving issues to the satisfaction of all parties. * Move throughout the facility and kitchen areas to monitor food quality and service standards. * Verify temperatures, appearance, taste of products, and check preparation methods to ensure consistency and quality. * Maintain profitability by controlling payroll and equipment costs. * Ensure par stock levels are maintained through accurate inventory calculations, ordering, and supply retrieval. * Administer sales promotion and employee incentive programs. * Stay informed about industry trends and competition. * Maintain an appropriate level of community public affairs involvement. * Implement and support hotel policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. What do you bring to the role? * High school diploma required; college degree preferred but equivalent work experience is acceptable. * Minimum of 2 years of previous Food & Beverage Management experience. * Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, preparation techniques, and beverage operations including wines. * Proficient in mathematical skills for inventory management, revenue tracking, and financial statements. * Ability to stand and move about the restaurant and kitchen areas for the duration of the shift. * Effective interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy. * Additional language skills are a plus. * Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and touch screen POS systems.
