SERVICE FIRST STAFFING Crane Operator/Rigger in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Operation of cranes ranging from 20 to 75 tons. The qualified candidate will also have experience with rigging loads. This high profile position will require a minimum of 50-55 hours per week and partial Saturdays when business needs dictate. Overtime is paid a time and a half for any time worked over 40 in a week. Set up or repair rigging for construction projects, manufacturing plants, logging yards, ships and shipyards, or for the entertainment industry. Align, level, and anchor machinery. Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools. Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps. Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use. Load machines onto trucks to prepare for transportation. Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials, such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets. Select gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules. Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.
