As an Compliance Coordinator II, you will, under the direct supervision of the Manager, responsible for the design and execution of audit plans that reflect compliance risks, suggesting new or modified policies or procedures where appropriate, identifying control issues, presenting reports to management, assisting management in the development of practical recommendations for improvement, and completing follow up reviews on compliance issues to assure that identified problems have been resolved. Gain specialization and appropriate certification in a compliance area. Responsible for the day to day prioritization and management of multiple concurrent audits that may be assigned. Responsibilities Work under the direct supervision of the Manager to ensure that audit and compliance objectives are met. Identify, research and objectively analyze problems from multiple perspectives to reach sound conclusions and make appropriate decisions and recommendations. Audit a variety of accounting, financial, operating records, procedures, medical records, invoices, and other sources requiring the application of professional auditing principles. Design and execute systematic audit plans that identify deficiencies in processes and procedures, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and effectiveness, and subsequently propose solutions that balance both risk and cost-effectiveness. This process will include staff interviews, policy review, data analysis, and other detailed test work. Prepare work papers, questionnaires, schedules, process maps and summaries as necessary. Prepare formal audit reports that provide a summary of the process reviewed, audit issues identified, sample, audit results, research used (e.g. regulation, data analysis, outside resources...) and recommendations. Present audit report findings to appropriate management including, but not limited to Chairs, Chiefs and Department Administrators. Conduct individual or small group training for Chairs, Chiefs, Department Administrators, faculty physicians and staff regarding audit results. Conduct periodic individual or small group educational sessions for Chairs, Chiefs, Department Administrators, faculty physicians and staff on research regulatory issues.
