JOB REQUIREMENTS: CNC Lathe & Laser (set-up, program, operate) 4-10 hour days Monday through Thursday 1st Shift - 5am to 3pm 2nd Shift - 3pm to 1am - \$1.00 shift premium 3rd Shift - 7pm to 5am - \$1.50 shift premium This position is responsible for set-up, programming, and operation of the CNC Lathe & Laser. Essential Functions Program, setup and operate CNC turning and machining centers. Maintain productivity on multiple machines performing various operations. This may include but not limited to production machining, tool making, secondary operations, etc. Program, setup and operate the laser. Support a second operator working in the department. Other department duties may be assigned to maintain consistency and effectiveness of the department. Must complete required paperwork and be able to use measuring tools to exact measurements. Inspect parts and document the information as necessary. Able to perform SPC\' with Datamyte\' data entry. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and orderly. Lead and direct activities of department personnel to maximize productivity. Oversee material inventories to maintain accuracy. Communicate with production departments (internal customers) to ensure material requirements are satisfied in a timely manner. Report vendor concerns, inventory issues, productivity issues and opportunities for improvement to management. Interpret and communicate all daily manufacturing paperwork. Maintain a clean and safe work environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 7+ years experience in troubleshooting, programming and operating CNC machine tools. Must be able to do advanced math calculations, and understand shop production orders. Knowledge of safe operating practices per OSHA standards.
