TEKsystems AV/Conference Room Support Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We are looking for an AV/Conference Room Specialist to join our client's team in Milwaukee. This role involves collaborating with other end user support specialists and providing support to our internal users.

As an Audio Visual / Conference Room Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting end users in the conference rooms. Typical tasks include confirming room bookings, understanding meeting requirements, setting up the room, conducting dry runs for presentations, and being ready to assist during presentations. You’ll mainly support end users, troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, or via email, and provide end-user assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the setup, testing, maintenance, operation, and teardown of AV and videoconference equipment (e.g., projectors, computers, microphones, cameras, audio systems).

  • Provide technical support for audiovisual needs, ensuring proper setup of video conferences.

  • Schedule video conferencing for all offices.

  • Maintain trouble ticket processes, customer issue logs, and asset management.

  • Handle all aspects of videoconference support, including call setup, user training, troubleshooting, and issue escalation.

  • Educate end users on presentation technologies.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance checks and address issues like cable management and safety standards compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting AV and videoconferencing technology (e.g., Cisco VTC equipment, Teams, Webex, Zoom).

  • Basic understanding of related communication technologies (IT, data networking, telecommunications, cabling).

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Experience with AV and presentation technologies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience in a fast-paced, conference-centric environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, solve problems, and be a team player.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple issues simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is a plus.

    Additional Desktop/IT Support Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in personal computer service and repair.

  • Experience with Windows 10.

  • Familiarity with various mobile device platforms (Android, iOS, Windows).

  • Strong customer service attitude.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, solve problems quickly, and think on your feet.

  • Team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
