JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position in Public Policy and Quantitative Methodology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2025. Candidates will hold the Ph.D. degree or be near completion, and they will have a demonstrated potential for excellence in research and excellent teaching skills. We seek candidates who have extensive training in the study of public policy and major quantitative methods used in contemporary political science. Expertise in a substantive policy area within American politics is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will conduct research and publish scholarship. Research outcomes will be disseminated through publications in leading peer-reviewed outlets and presentations at professional meetings. The successful candidate\'s primary teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses on public policy and quantitative analysis of political data. Teaching load will be commensurate with junior faculty in the Department of Political Science. The successful candidate will also serve on one of the two main departmental committees and engage in other departmental, university, and professional service as appropriate. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work collaboratively across departments within the College of Arts and Sciences and with other related programs at the university, including the interdisciplinary data science and analytics programs at Marquette.
