The Central Susquehanna IU (CSIU) is accepting applications for a Practical Nursing Program Instructor. This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday work schedule with the opportunity to allow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Central Susquehanna LPN Career School located in Milton, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations. In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, students, meetings and trainings may be required on-site on days deemed as teleworking days. Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.
The Practical Nursing Program Instructor works with career center staff to plan, deliver, and participate in the evaluation of the practical nursing program curriculum. The instructor also supervises students in the clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings. In addition, develops and implements course outlines, lesson plans, tests and examination to meet the academic and behavioral objectives to the practical nursing program.
Salary = $55,000 to $65,000 dependent on education and qualifications. Full time exempt position working 37.5 hour per week, 250 days per year. Education, skills and experience requirements include:
- Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing with a minimum of Master's Degree, preferably in nursing. Will consider a Bachelor's degree with a commitment to complete a Master's degree.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania.
- Experience and skill in the practice of nursing; nursing experience involving direct patient care or teaching experience within two (2) years of employment.
Evidence of maintaining expertise in clinical and functional areas of responsibility.
