Eaton Corporation Warehouse Team Lead in Milton, Ontario

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Warehouse Team Lead.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function

The Warehouse Team Lead, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, plays a crucial role in coordinating warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and ensuring timely delivery. This position involves guiding warehouse procedures, coaching staff, and directly overseeing the shipping/receiving/picking processes to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions/Position Requirements

• Coordinate manpower daily, aligning staff across departments to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Motivate the team, keeping them informed of goals related to production, safety, and quality.

• Lead morning meetings to discuss safety, quality, and daily priorities.

• Participate in the development and execution of APEX performance evaluations.

• Uphold quality standards by clearly communicating objectives and goals to employees.

• Inspect and report machinery malfunctions for repair.

• Assess picking demands and allocate necessary resources.

• Address and assist in resolving work issues, escalating them when needed.

• Manage material flow from receiving to customer delivery efficiently.

• Oversee daily picking operations and prioritize based on production needs.

• Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.

• Utilize Oracle knowledge to support warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Keep records of daily output as required for warehouse metrics.

• Complete non-conformance reports for defective materials through NCMR Process.

• Communicate over/short shipments to Materials Department. Resolve problems with other Eaton Electrical Canada supplying locations as required.

• Handle material status inquiries from LVDA office personnel and Satellites.

• Follow Returns Process and follow up with appropriate course of action through RMA process.

• Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of warehouse.

• Ensure tow motor maintenance and service records are kept up-to-date.

• Ensure rack, lift truck and ladder inspections are completed as required.

• Coordinate the disposal of scrap inventory.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma.

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience/training in business, manufacturing or engineering.

• Minimum two years of experience working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

• Minimum one year of formal or informal leadership including mentoring or training newer team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College diploma.

• Experience in fabrication/assembly environment.
