Your Impact
As the Technical Lead for Control Plane Engineering, you'll have the great opportunity to guide an agile team in designing, developing, and testing the Control Plane for the Cisco 8000 platforms. You'll draw on your expertise in.
Using your experience in routing protocol stack development and network operating systems.
Understanding and deploying routing protocols in large-scale networks, with the proven track record to design improvements that address networking challenges.
Embracing an automation-first approach, using scripting languages and test frameworks to drive innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
7+ years of software development experience with C, C++, and/or Python
3+ years of experience developing routing protocol stacks in vendor network operating systems (NOS) or open-source networking stacks such as Sonic, FRR or Quagga
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with virtualization and container technologies, such as KVM/Qemu, Docker, and Kubernetes
Knowledge of packet forwarding OS internals, algorithms, and computer architecture
Experience with routing protocols and technologies, including multicast routing (PIM, IGMPv2/v3, mVPN), BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and controller-based technologies
Experience with Segment Routing, L2VPN, EVPN, BIER, and controller-based solutions
Experience with GIT, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools
Experienced in performance tuning
