Job Description

Senior Electronics Product Engineer

Join the pursuit to bring space-level technology to market. Our products are circling the globe and have orbited and landed on other planets. We have specialized components installed in aircraft and within implantable medical equipment. On our team you can be involved in keeping the mission going and in developing what comes next.

Our product engineers provide these solutions by supporting semiconductor component design, development, and manufacturing. Responsibilites

  • Initiate new component development solutions through conception, release to production and end of life.

  • Review and support product specifications, process flows, and other information to understand and improve methods and activities in manufacturing to eliminate inefficiencies and improve throughput.

  • Lead product engineering activities, product sampling and yield/cost improvement.

  • Implement process-oriented and data-driven production methods to guarantee product quality.

  • Work onsite with Operations to provide product support and production data review and improve production lead times and maintain on time delivery goals.

  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure products meet stringent requirements and specifications. Provide necessary product engineering support of customer returns.

  • Meet key performance metrics and improve productivity, with focus on reducing hands-on engineering hours per production lot.

  • Communicate with vendors, service providers and/or customers to support device performance and quality requirements and delivery schedule needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Electronics Engineering and 5 years’ related experience in Design, Product, Process, Test or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

  • MS in Electronics Engineering and 3 years’ related experience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience preferred in optoelectronics, bipolar components, or other analog circuit analysis with focus on transistors, diodes/LEDs.

  • Experience desired supporting manufacturing operations, particularly back-end assembly and packaging, and automated testing.

  • Familiarity with probability and statistics or data analytics.

  • Background in high-reliability requirements preferred. Will consider related background working in aerospace, medical, automotive or other high reliability industries.

  • A hands-on approach to seeking solutions is preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600 - $167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
