Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of the company's fleet, ensuring all vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry regulations.

  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for vehicle procurement, fuel management, and overall fleet optimization.

  • Monitor fleet performance through data analysis, utilizing KPIs to identify areas for improvement and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with drivers and team members to provide training, resolve issues, and maintain high safety and performance standards.

  • Schedule and manage regular vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and maximize asset longevity.

  • Establish and enforce fleet policies and procedures, including driver safety protocols and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Track and manage fleet expenses, including fuel costs, maintenance budgets, and insurance, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.

The essential functions of this role include:
