Job Summary
A HVAC technician will service, maintain, repair, replace, and install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings. This involves working with complex systems and understanding how they function to ensure proper installation and workability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installation: Install HVAC equipment, including major units, and perform welding and soldering Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on equipment that requires constant care, such as furnaces Repair: Repair or replace parts, and troubleshoot and take corrective action for malfunctions
Diagnosis: Identify maintenance risks and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults Cleaning: Clean coils and other parts
Adjustment: Adjust air flow and replace gas or fluid in the system Warranty: Perform warranty services
