Bureau of Naval Personnel HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in Millington, Tennessee

Summary You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) in the Exceptional Family Member (EFM) Branch of Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN. Responsibilities You will review and post military billets for member assignment in appropriate personnel systems. You will utilize applicable personnel databases to update officer/enlisted master files and to generate assignment data and reports. You will review, research, and resolve issues related to military orders. You will assist with PCS placement of officer/enlisted service members in the EFM program. You will research personnel records and files in order to resolve discrepancies in military data. You will respond to telephone, letter, message, or email inquiries from military constituents and external commands. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using automated systems for researching, analyzing, and processing information and transactions; 2) Utilizing personnel databases to update master files and to generate assignment data and reports; 3) Reviewing, researching, and resolving issues related to military orders; 4) Researching personnel records and files to resolve discrepancies found; and 5) Preparing a variety of written documents and correspondence to effectively communicate with service members, their family members, medical facilities, and command officials.
