The Manufacturing Technician I will work closely with the manufacturing engineering team and will be primarily responsible for manufacturing instruments on an assembly line. The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for: following documented procedures, such as Manufacturing Work Instructions; performing inspections and functional tests to verify quality conformance, and following all safety protocols to perform all tasks in a safe environment. This hands-on position will require good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings. Requirements: * Relevant associate degree * 0-2 Years of Experience as a Manufacturing Technician * Good hand-eye coordination * Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions. * Ability to work directly with, handle or come into contact with chemicals or reagents. * Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, manufacturing engineers * Able to understand instructions and batch records written and spoken in English. * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Ability to pay close attention to detail. * Ability to read engineering drawings Target Base Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000 Base salary is an integral part of NanoString's total compensation package. Base salary considers an individual's skills, experience, and competitive market value. The base salary range represent what NanoString pays for a job within a salary grade based on external market data in comparison to similar positions from other companies in our industry. Employees generally enter a salary grade at the lower-to-mid-point in the range. Other compensation elements include a discretionary incentive compensation for sales roles, comprehensive benefit plans and paid time off, including designated holidays.
