Description

Reputable client located in the Central Delaware area is looking to staff a Senior Accountant with proven general ledger expertise. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reports, preparing financial statements, assisting the month end close process, analyzing financial data, processing client billings, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate for this role will have excellent leadership abilities, sharp analytical skills, command of the month end process, excellent time management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Major Responsibilities

· Implement revenue generating control systems

· Review and approve vendor invoices

· Oversee the month end close process

· Prepare journal entries

· Fixed Asset processing

· Account Reconciliation

· Ad hoc research projects

· Manage general ledger collections

· Ensure compliance with GAAP

· Assist Controller as needed

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 5+ years accounting experience

· Logistics/transportation and distribution experience preferred

· Must have experience working in NetSuite

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
