MILES CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Facilities and Transportation Director in MILES CITY, Montana

The Miles City Unified School District has a position open for Facilities and Transportation Director for Custer County District High School, FACILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plans, schedules, and directs work of assigned maintenance personnel. Plans, schedules, and directs work of assigned custodial personnel. Works with school administrators in scheduling and coordinating maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and other District property. Works with school administrators in scheduling and coordinating custodial efforts across the District. Plans and lays out more complex jobs. Maintains accurate and current records of maintenance operations, including time spent, resources utilized, cost estimates, and total costs experienced by the District. Recommends repairs and refurbishing needs; prepares rough estimates of material and labor costs and work procedures, coordinating with administration as appropriate. Confers with administration concerning employee evaluations. Recommends new equipment purchases. Assists in preparation of maintenance budget. May perform skilled work in various construction and/or maintenance trades. Keeps operational records and prepares routine reports. Maintains and oversees personnel records and submits custodial and maintenance personnel time sheets for purposes of payroll. Oversees the transportation of students who participate in extracurricular activities. Assists in the recruitment and screening of bus drivers and other transportation personnel, in conjunction with the superintendent. Supervises and evaluates employees in the District's transportation department, including bus drivers, bus aides and other transportation personnel. Maintains and oversees personnel records and submits transportation personnel time sheets for purposes of payroll. Conducts periodic meetings with transportation personnel. Provides training to transportation personnel. Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives. Assists in the development of specifications for purposes of purchasing transportation vehicles. Assists law enforcement in the investigation of all accidents as requested. Oversees the District's transportation budget. Makes recommendations for updating and purchasing of new transportation. Only minimum duties are listed.
