Abbott Health Economics and Reimbursement Specialist in Milan, Italy
Section 1: PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Support the development and execution of effective health economics, reimbursement and market access strategies to enable and support commercial success in Italy for Abbott Medical Device (MD) areas (Vasc, CRM, EP, HF, SH and NMD)
Section 2: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessing the impact of national and regional health care and reimbursement laws on ABT MD:
Demonstrate and communicate the economic benefit of Abbott medical device at national, regional or local level for reimbursement and market access purposes
Provide internal training to BUs on HE & Reimbursement topics
Provide research and reimbursement deliverables for customer engagement initiatives, reimbursement education, and economic modeling
Support Commercial teams in developing and communicating economic value messages and economics tools to support ABT MD adoption.
Contribute with original ideas, best practices, and winning strategies to the Global Health Economics & Reimbursement group to drive international synergies across regions, functions, divisions and others
Tasks:
Perform detailed identification, analyses, and updating of the healthcare national and regional policy, organization, funding and reimbursement landscape for the ABT MD for internal communication and as input to business decisions;
Prepare scientific documents to demonstrate the ABT MD value for reimbursement and market access purposes with external decision makers (e.g Global value dossiers adaptation to the Italian national and regional setting)
Proactively support the planning and perform data analyses for input to the commercial team and support sales and marketing strategies and actions, such as procedure volume and economic impact of procedures for business plans, market sizing with epidemiological data and patient indication
Informing Global and OUS HE&R colleagues about Italian reimbursement status;

Section 3: EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES
Graduate degree in Science, Medicine, Economics or Engineering. Additional certification on HE, HEOR, or market access is a plus.
At least 3 years experience in health policy, market access, reimbursement, health economics field
Strong business acumen to connect to local/Area business leaders and develop HE&R solutions to support the business
Strong project management skills with oversight experience in both internal and external projects are necessary. Demonstrated multitasking and time management skills and experience are essential
Strong and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in participating and leading cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills
Excellent English skills
