Supplier Shield Exception Handler & Procurement Manager

Location: Lomas de Chapultepec, Mexico

Description – External – About this Role:

As a CBRE Procurement Manager, you will be instrumental in the operational management of the procurement function, with a focus on Supplier Onboarding and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). This role encompasses:

  1. Managing data flow in Supplier onboarding and TPRM systems.

  2. Identifying and addressing data flow issues within the framework and operations for the US region.

  3. Providing approvals and resolving exceptions in the Supplier Shield system.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee Supplier onboarding and TPRM data flow, managing daily operations, issue resolution, and business continuity as the escalation point for complex data flow issues from Shared Services and front-line contacts.

  • Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders and system users as part of the global TPRM team.

  • Manage the end-to-end data flow of the Supplier onboarding and TPRM process, ensuring blockages are identified and resolved, while maintaining system efficiency, compliance, and minimizing operational risk.

  • Provide insights to enhance and optimize the Supplier onboarding and TPRM processes.

  • Collaborate with functions such as Finance, HSE, Risk, Compliance, Digital & Technology, Business Services and Operations to improve data flow and system efficiencies.

  • Partner with industry stakeholders, technology providers, and third-party risk assessors to maintain and evolve CBRE’s Supplier onboarding and TPRM frameworks.

  • Contribute to training and reference materials for the Supplier Shield support team, CBRE users, and suppliers, and deliver training as needed.

  • Create, maintain, and refine reports on Supplier onboarding and TPRM, covering system progress, outages, compliance, exposures, and trends.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Supplier onboarding and TPRM.

  • Conduct market scanning to identify emerging risks, legislation, and trends related to Supplier onboarding and TPRM to proactively address client needs.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a combination of education and experience considered.

  • Experience in supply chain/procurement with a strong understanding of Supplier onboarding and TPRM systems and processes.

  • Proven management skills to set, manage, and achieve targets.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.

  • Strong problem solving skills to identify issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions.

  • High proficiency in navigating and reporting from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with effective use of data analysis tools, including Excel and Power BI.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data to identify trends and anomalies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis).
