Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer/Client Manager experienced in planning, permitting, design, and management of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.  BC has multiple projects throughout the southwestern US which includes many challenging and rewarding projects throughout Arizona and New Mexico as part of ongoing work with the Navajo Nation.  This candidate will work closely with the BC team in Utah and Arizona to support the water and wastewater projects for the Navajo Nation and potentially other clients in the region.  This opportunity will require periodic travel to remote locations in Arizona, S. Utah, or New Mexico and will require a mix of skills that include day to day project engineering and design, project management of multi-discipline design teams, and even regular client interaction to develop scopes of work and level of effort estimates.  The candidate will work closely with others supporting the Navajo Nation in a leadership role that could grow into more regular client management.  The ideal candidate would have 10-20 years of civil engineering experience in the areas of water and wastewater conveyance or treatment and have a desire to take the next step in their career through supporting team leadership, project management, and client interaction.  This is a unique, challenging, and very rewarding opportunity. Salt Lake City is preferred work location but will consider candidates based in locations within a reasonable distance to the Navajo Nation, i.e. Flagstaff AZ, Page AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Gallup NM or Phoenix AZ. Detailed Description: BC has multiple water and wastewater projects under contract in the west notably Utah, Arizona and Colorado that involve planning, design, and construction.  These include all elements of potable water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilities as well as pump stations and piping infrastructure.  Specifically, the BC team that supports work in So. Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico for work with the Navajo Nation is in need of additional project engineering, project management, design management and client engagement support.  The candidate would be substantially assigned to work with the team supporting the Navajo Nation projects.  The candidate would be expected to take direction from the existing team leadership but would quickly move to work independently on engineering tasks, project management, and client management including developing scopes of work and level of effort estimates.  Opportunities to manage scope, schedule, budget, and experience client interaction within the Navajo Nation program will come quickly for the right candidate. Primary responsibilities include: * Prepare reports, memos, permits, and designs for water/wastewater infrastructure. * Serve as a task leader, deputy project manager, project manager, or design manager on water/wastewater planning and design projects. * Lead, organize, and facilitate team meetings. * Support design development from concept through final design, including review of work done by others such as reports, memos, and pilot studies to determine applicability for system improvements. * Serve as engineer of record for final deliverables. * Work closely with the current BC client account manager to support client interactions in a role akin to a deputy client manager. * Meet with the BC team and the client to understand future project scopes and related engineering budgets. * Learn and understand BC's best practices including systems for project management including scope, schedule, and budget management. * Learn and implement BC's best practices for quality management including...
