Robert Half Regulatory Analyst - US in Midland, Texas

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Regulatory Analyst in Houston, Texas. As a Regulatory Analyst, you will provide crucial support in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations within our organization. This role involves significant interaction with internal teams and external representatives, as well as independent work to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Support internal teams in the completion and submission of regulatory filings, including but not limited to drilling permits, flare permits, and injection permits.

• Conduct research and provide assistance in resolving compliance-related issues.

• Maintain our in-house tracking systems with current and accurate information.

• Request and review 'as drilled' plats provided by survey companies.

• Distribute regulatory filings to various teams and departments as needed.

• Aid in the review of assets for compliance issues during the process of acquisitions and divestitures.

• Liaise with service companies to obtain, review, and file W-15s.

• Oversee all data collection for completion packets.

• Assess and resolve violation notices for assigned areas.

• Apply critical thinking skills and utilize your knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations to fulfill your responsibilities. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Operations and Research

• Prior experience in Reviewing and Supervising tasks

• Proficiency in Workstation Support

• Understanding and knowledge of Regulation processes and Filing systems

• Experience in Compliance Functions

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills

• Familiarity with Notices and Data Collection processes

• Experience in Acquisitions and Regulatory Compliance

• Ability to demonstrate Critical Thinking skills

• Knowledge of Packets and Interpreting data

• Experience with Track System and dealing with Regulatory Agencies

• Understanding of Divestitures and Regulatory Filings

• Familiarity with Local Regulation and Federal Rules

• Knowledge of the Oilfield sector

• Ability to handle Plats and Photocopying/Scanning documents

• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
