The Dow Chemical Company. Conducts research on projects using advanced knowledge of scientific principles, theory, and experimental design within a scientific discipline. Develops and implement technical solutions through hands-on experimentation/problem-solving for research problems that are well defined within a project area. Consistently applies the Scientific Method in the planning and execution of experimental plans and problem solving. Formulate hypotheses and develops experimental plans to test hypotheses. Keeps current with developments in relevant area of technology. Serves as a peer coach and provides constructive advice on projects within the team. Proposes project proposal alignment to business strategies and objectives. Modifies communication appropriately to both internal and external audiences. Demonstrates a working knowledge of team alignment with R&D and Business goals. PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, or related required. Telecommuting may be permitted.
