Rite-Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow developer/architect to develop custom, scoped and global applications. While work will be performed primarily in a remote capacity, occasional travel to the customer site may be required. As such, East Coast (driving distance to Newport, Rhode Island) location is preferred.
Rite-Solutions is building a ServiceNow practice to support various Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security customers. This includes business process reengineering efforts and building custom applications provided to customers through the Federal ServiceNow App Store. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will lead development efforts to build applications supporting our customer's requirements. You'll be creating workflows, user interfaces, and performance analytics dashboards for new ServiceNow customers.
The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both contractors and government employees. The candidate should speak well in front of an audience and be able to present briefs to high-ranking government personnel and be able to provide whiteboard sessions and presentations to personnel in a clear, concise but comprehensive manner. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Position Requirements:
Lead the design, architecture and development of ServiceNow solutions that meet customer needs and industry best practices.
Evaluate and assist in the selection and procurement of hardware and software technologies
Perform O&M and full lifecycle software development activities on enterprise IT applications
Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translate them into technical requirements
Work with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints and develop requirements and concept of operations documentations
Identify technical risks and develop mitigations strategies
Provide conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles for proposed technical solutions
Experience with DevOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g. Jira), automated testing, and deployment
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret security clearance
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in ServiceNow solutions design, architecting and development
3+ years of experience with platform customization in relevant delivery platforms
3+ years of experience with custom application development including Custom Service Portal widget creation
3+ years of experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog
3+ years of experience working and developing with JavaScript - HTML5, Jelly, jQuery and AngularJS
3+ years' experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience with DevOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g., Jira), automated testing, and deployment
Experience with developing and managing data models
Experience designing and developing ServiceNow solutions in an Agile Software Development environment
Experience with ITSM and ITIL concepts and framework, providing expertise to guide ITSM and ITIL implementations
Extensive understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured and customized and scripting within the tool

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent year of experience
