Job Overview

SAP Sales and Distribution senior analyst, part of a global team, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and consulting on SAP Order Management – Pricing topics. To be seen in a single global systems landscape, upholding global system integrity (template).

Travel Required Up to 10-25 %

1) Determine Business Requirements

• Meet with users, management, and other Core Team Analysts to define business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP configuration or development (ABAP/SAP Script/Smart forms) required, or to document why the requirement cannot be satisfied by an SAP-based solution.

• Document the requirements in a functional requirements document. Include input and output requirements, process maps and business benefits as appropriate.

• Coordinate the activity of other SAP analysts to ensure complete requirements are defined.

• Perform Fit/gap analysis and influence users to change business processes to fit existing system functionality.

2) Design SAP-based Business Systems

• Evaluate alternative solutions to business requirements and document a recommended design.

• Provide an estimate of the cost and risk of an SAP solution.

• Recommend ABAP or other programming enhancements when no SAP solution is possible.

3) Configure the SAP System

• Translate business requirements into SAP configuration with help from other team members and consultants.

• Configure SAP price procedures, condition types, pricing requirements and formulas.

• Document the SAP configuration required if complex or unique.

• Enter, test, and migrate the required SAP configuration to production.

• Obtain resolution to standard SAP problems when required via the OSS facility.

• Translate functional requirements into high level Technical design document with process flows, algorithms, and pseudo-codes.

• Have a clear understanding of pricing communication structures and user exits needed to provide high level technical design document.

• Provide oversight to ABAP developers to ensure requirements are understood and that a well-designed, efficient, and supportable solution is developed.

• Provide and use unit test scenarios and test data

• Be well versed in SPDD, SPAU and Code Remediation activities to provide functional inputs to the ABAP team in a timely manner to aid System upgrade tasks.

• Ability to read and comprehend ABAP code, terminologies with debugging skills is non-negotiable.

• Be proactive in logging system upgrade/code remediation/testing issues and drive the resolution with help of ABAP team. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks is highly appreciated.

5) Test the SAP System, Enhancements and Add-ons

• Provide integrated test scenarios across all related processes reflecting the business requirements

• Test the system, documenting the results

• Prepare test plans, scripts and execute them for System upgrade activities.

6) Investigate and resolve test problems, coordinating the activities of others as required Support Data Mapping from Legacy Systems

• Develop and maintain mapping documents that define requirements for legacy system data to be loaded into SAP.

• Work with SDT team, DTO team to map, convert, translate, and upload data into S4 systems.

• Knowledge and understanding nuances of data take over and related issues in wave-based deployments of a global S4 template is essential.

• Communicate and explain mapping documents to local IS organizations creating extracts.

• Review extracts (files) to ensure they comply with the mapping specifications.

• Verify extracted data is correctly loaded into SAP consistent with the intended mapping.

7) Develop SAP Batch Jobs and Variants

• Define batch processing requirements and interface requirements.

• Create the necessary SAP jobs and variants.

• Support Operations in the creation of job schedules.

• Ensure Unix files and directories are used efficiently and securely.

8) Provide End User Training

• Create and modify training material with the assistance of the Training Team.

• Deliver training to a project’s local implementation team and to others as required.

• Ensure training material remains up to date as the SAP System changes.

What your background should look like:

Technical Functional

• Understand IT related processes in global environments and can hold process related discussions with different business and technical SME’s

• Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in SAP ECC AND/OR S/4 Sales and Distribution – Pricing

• Strong communication and reporting skills – both verbal and written

• Must be able to create and/or review Functional and Technical Design Specifications

• Must be able to prepare and execute on plan to deliver the defined solutions

• Must be able to create and execute cut-over to production support plans

• Experience with ABAP and debugging

• S/4 Upgrade Project experience with a global organization

• S/4 Upgrade tasks, Reviewing Technical asks (SPDD/SPAU), Items requiring Functional Redesign

• Working with Code Remediation, Selective Data Transfer vendors/tools

• Preparing Test Plans & Scripts, working with automated testing tools for Upgrade related testing

• Analytical/Out of the box capabilities to help validate data for users between ECC and S4

• Good Understanding of S/4 Data Model changes in Pricing

Required Experience:

Overall: 5-7 years’ work experience within an IS organization.

• Self-starter who works with minimal guidance.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Attention to detail. Ability to manage risks – proactively identify & assess risks, manage mitigation actions and contingency plans.

• Ability to work well on cross-functional global project teams and foster team commitment.

• Ability to adapt and rapidly apply changing technology to business needs.

• Ability to work with project team / business units to ensure organization change management is planned for and successfully executed.

Language Requirement English as a first or second language, sufficient for telephone consulting, email, training, and documentation in English.

Certifications University degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems OR any other university degree plus 5 years work experience within an IS organization.

• SAP S/4 Certification is a plus

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $114,880-173,320 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
