DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be tasked with a range of duties to aid the karst project, including conducting field mapping of carbonate formations, assessing closed depressions and sinkholes, and locating water wells to determine bedrock depth and rock type. Furthermore, you will contribute to the revision of geological maps, the creation of cross sections, and the analysis of particular karst features like sinkholes and springs. Additional responsibilities will involve digitizing historical documents and ensuring that databases are kept current.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025 Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors: Geology Geography and Earth Science An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Freshman year completed. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
