Responsibilities The Psychiatric Technician performs assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties, defined, and delegated under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $23.38-$29.05 hourly. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Graduate/equivalent; 2 year College Degree related to psychology preferred; Minimum Experience: One year experience in Behavioral Health or related human services field required if no college background. Required Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification. Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter. Physical Demands: Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patient. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Working Conditions: Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances. May be exposed to unpleasant patient elements. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations and occasionally to irregular work hours. Workplace type On-site
