Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Radiology Director, and/or designee, the Radiology Manager assumes clinical and operational responsibility as well as fiscal responsibility for his/her assigned Department(s) incorporating CareMount Medical policies, goals and long-range plan. The Radiology Manager works collaboratively with the Radiology Director, the VP of Radiology, Department Heads, and other administrators to provide leadership, direction and management for clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and services in all clinical areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for excellence in the clinical practice and the delivery of patient care

  • Provide patient care coverage in any location that may be in need of assistance

  • Assesses and identifies the needs for and assists with program development, as needed

  • Develops and maintains an environment that supports excellence in clinical practice

  • Maintains a high level of clinical excellence in his/her specialty

  • Functions effectively with other health care providers during emergency situations

  • Acts as a resource and role model for clinical staff in the delivery of patient care

  • Collaborates with the Radiology Director, other Managers, Department Heads and Physicians to support excellence in the patient care delivery system throughout CAREMOUNT MEDICAL

  • Reviews and implements policies, procedures and standards of care to assure excellence in patient care, and compliance with any applicable regulatory or accrediting agencies

  • Defines and implements a patient care service systems for his/her designated department(s) that ensures quality care and optimal patient outcomes

  • Oversee all Equipment maintenance to ensure proper functioning and routine maintenance is being performed

Fiscal Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the preparation, monitoring, analyzing and maintenance of annual salaries for all assigned departments

  • Participate and maintain in the organization of the current and future staffing needs of the department by staying up to date with job postings, backfill requests and the interview processes

  • Establishes yearly goals for assigned department and develops a plan for meeting departmental goals considering human and material resources

  • Evaluates the impact of proposed new programs on department and develops a plan to implement new programs accordingly

  • Evaluates the impact of new programs that have been implemented

  • Maintains and approves all supply ordering for locations throughout their region to ensure the proper quantity is maintained without going over budget

  • Maintains communication with Radiology Director regarding any budgetary issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program with current licensure as a Technologist with the ARRT or ARDMS

  • Current NYS licensure (if applicable) in good standing, and/or BS in related field, i.e. Health Care/Business Administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recent pertinent and professional clinical management experience in a hospital, medical office, or other clinical setting

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
