Job Overview: As a Warehouse Lead Shift Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse during your designated shift. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates,ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The role requires a combination of leadership skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to coordinate tasks effectively. Work Hours: From 6AM To 2:30PM. Reports to: Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction and support. Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance. Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Coordinate the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse efficiency. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet specified standards. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to identify and address any quality issues. Communication: Maintain open communication with other shift supervisors, warehouse managers, and cross-functional teams. Report any issues or challenges that may impact warehouse operations to higher management. Training and Development: Provide training to new hires and ongoing training to existing staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols. Identify opportunities for skill development and career advancement within the team. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure that warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyor systems, is properly maintained and in good working condition. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics. Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software. Leadership and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work different shifts as required. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
