Description of the Role:
The Automotive Service Advisor at Friendly Acura of Middletown plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operation of the service department. This position requires extensive knowledge of automotive repairs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000/year based on salary, commission & bonus plan
Responsibilities:
Interact with customers to determine their automotive service needs and provide accurate cost and time estimates
Schedule appointments and prioritize work orders for the service technicians
Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs
Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively explain necessary repairs and services to customers
Utilize software and databases to record customer information, service details, and inventory levels
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts
Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service throughout the entire service process
Requirements:
Prior experience in an automotive service advisory role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
Ability to accurately estimate costs and time required for repairs
Proficiency in using computer software for managing customer information and service details
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
