Job Description

This role will be split 50/50 between Supply Chain/Operations Administration and Customer Service/Inside Sales. The position requires a versatile individual with strong experience n supply chain, sales, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review previous days' completed orders/job routing and identify/remove exceptions.

  • Close jobs, issue corrections, provide feedback for the production team, and issue documentation for corrective actions.

  • Participate in daily 11am production meetings.

  • Quote, check lead times, answer inquiries, expedite orders, and provide status updates.

  • Respond to customer inquiries or complaints regarding products or services.

  • Determine the best method to resolve complex customer service problems to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate information to resolve problems and inform customers of procedures or resolution of problems.

  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Make periodic calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with products or services.

  • Provide daily direction and communication to employees to ensure customer service calls are answered in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.

  • Evaluate processes and procedures continually and suggest and implement methods to improve operations, efficiency, and service.

  • Provide statistical and performance feedback and coaching to each team member regularly.

  • Write and administer performance reviews for skill improvement.

  • Be available for employees experiencing work problems, providing appropriate coaching, counseling, direction, and resolution.

  • Talk with customers by phone concerning orders, returns, shipments, and products.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts.

  • Work with assigned district managers in all aspects of customer service.

  • Collaborate with marketing support staff to resolve customer application inquiries and special quotations.

  • Receive and enter phone and fax orders.

  • Call customers when necessary to advise shipment delays or gather information necessary to process orders.

  • Initiate tracers with carriers.

  • Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders.

  • Initiate orders for replacement parts or to correct errors.

  • Initiate credit requests and return goods requests from customers.

  • Obtain customer feedback information.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain, administrative support, and quoting.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Knowledge of AS/400.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, and logistics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Preferred - 5 years of experience in customer service, sales, and/or marketing.

  • Preferred - 3 years of experience within an AS/400 environment.

  • Preferred - 2 years of experience with ERP software.

  • Required - Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.

  • Preferred - High competency with customer service issues.

  • Preferred - High competency with CRM applications.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
