As our Senior Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in international projects that contribute to a sustainable and circular economy. You will take charge of overseeing the entire lifecycle of customer orders, starting from Sales handover, and concluding upon successful execution. Your role involves steering the assigned execution team, ensuring the fulfilment of customer requirements.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Drive project scheduling, ensuring precise dissemination of plans and schedules, with a keen eye on process adherence
Meet and exceed targets by monitoring, supervising, and refining processes to enhance team performance
Act as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring critical information is effectively communicated
Foster strong relationships within your team and with customers to ensure collaborative success.
Maintain accurate project data in the ERP system, ensuring transparency and timely communication of project deliverables
Instruct, motivate, and monitor the performance of your project team, driving excellence at every stage
Proactively lead the identification and delivery of business benefits through improvement and optimization projects
Work closely with other departments to deliver competitive solutions, understanding customer needs and enhancing current processes
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
Minimum 5 years in engineering or project management, preferably in Oil and Gas or Energy
Project Management skills with proven experience in managing projects, with proficiency in ERP systems
Experience in contract negotiation within a commercial environment
Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, VCA/SCC, and welding standards EN, ASME, and ISO3834 would be advantageous
Demonstrated staff and customer management experience
Strong communication skills, including negotiation and influence
Adept at working in a diverse and global environment
Methodical in your approach, with meticulous attention to detail
Driven and enthusiastic, with a focus on achieving optimum results
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team

As a valued team member, you will be an integral part of the dynamic and thrilling environment within the Chemtech Division. Embrace the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement, with the main UK office located in Middlesbrough. While we support working from home, there will be regular visits required to the Middlesbrough office. Additionally, get ready for the thrilling opportunity of international travel, making up approximately 25-30% of your responsibilities.
