Responsible for total nursing care of all residents on unit during tour of duty.2. Make rounds daily and visits each resident on the unit. Explains procedures and treatments to resident to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.3. Evaluate nursing needs and makes staff assignments according to each patient care plan.4. Administers medications and treatments prescribed in accordance with approved nursing techniques, and maintains accurate records concerning same.5. Documents nursing history and physical assessment for residents on unit. Initiates a Patient Care Plan according to individualized needs of the resident and per prescribed orders of Physician. Completes assessments for MDS under supervision of RN. Responsible for nurses notes and nursing summaries and timeliness of same.26. Must accompany physician when physician visits residents and follows up on all physician’s orders.7. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.8. Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor or Physician of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol. Must notify shift supervisor of any emergency.9. Must be dependable, responsible person. Must report on duty when scheduled and be on time.10.Treats all patients with kindness and respect. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident. 11. Gives proper care to prevent decubiti and keep residents comfortable, clean and well groomed.12. Makes every effort to keep residents active and out of bed in accordance with physician’s orders.13. Helps residents to achieve maximum independence in activities of daily living.14. Provides restorative nursing to all residents.15. Shall be in residents’ dining room during meal- time to supervise and assist
